[CASE STUDY]
TowneBank from Intranet
Modernization to Enterprise Application Platform
What started as a SharePoint rebuild evolved into a scalable platform powering 20+ business applications.
The Situation
TowneBank’s internal systems had grown increasingly difficult to use and maintain. Their legacy SharePoint intranet lacked structure, navigation, and ownership—making it hard for employees to find information or trust the system.
At the same time, demand for internal applications was rising—but there was no consistent way to build or scale them.
The Opportunity
Beyond improving the intranet experience, TowneBank saw an opportunity to address a broader challenge—how to build and deliver internal applications faster.
Many business processes still relied on manual steps, disconnected systems, or one-off solutions that were difficult to scale. There was a growing need for a more structured, repeatable way to build applications that could support both short-term demands and long-term initiatives.
Extending Beyond the Intranet
As the intranet matured, it became clear that the real opportunity extended far beyond content and communication.
TowneBank needed a way to streamline internal processes, reduce manual work, and build applications that could support critical business functions. Traditional development approaches were too slow and too rigid to keep up with the pace of demand.
What started as an intranet initiative evolved into something much bigger—a foundation for building business applications at scale.

The PPP Story
When It Mattered Most
When COVID-19 disrupted businesses across the country, the government launched the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), placing banks at the center of distributing emergency relief funds.
They were suddenly responsible for processing thousands of loan applications—fast.
Because of the platform we had already built, we delivered an initial application in just one week.
What could have been chaos became a controlled, scalable response.
